Gerke Postma (1920-2002) ran a famous bookshop in the Huis aan de Drie Grachten, Oudezijds Voorburgwal 249, Amsterdam, initially as a staff-member and then successor of August Aimé Balkema (1906-1996) as owner of the bookshop.

Edited by Norman Nicholson. Light brown on half of first front end paper and half of reverse of final end paper, 64 browned heavy pages. DJ front and back has same illustration and design as book by Leslie Atkinson with gray background. DJ has small chip at top front edge at tip, very slight surface wear at bottom front bookfold edge and bottom tip, micronick at spine top edge and spine bottom right edge, three microtears at top back edge, micronick at bottom back tip. Good DJ/Fine+ book.
