CONDITION: Good Plus in Very Good jacket; no names, straight and tight, appears unopened, light rubs to bottom corners, would be Near Fine except for an inexplicable white surface tear, cloud-like, before the trees; in jacket with lightly toned spine with stray mark and light edgewear all around to 1/8". Picture book hardcover small Attractive, brightly coloured pictures follow the composition of Potter's PR. As a work in public domain, Altemus followed US copyright law, registering in 1904. This PR was republished in 1935 by Platt as Wee Books for Wee Folks. Turner 183b except blue boards. ABE Heritage Seller, since 1996: Search ABE Keyword: oldchildrensbooks. CONDITION: Very Good in Fair jacket with nice front panel; no names or other marks, very clean binding has been well protected except for missing areas of upper spine, so the cover plate is lovely; in a jacket with an inch gone on both ends, not affecting text and very rubbed on creases, the back had major tears above Peter's head, repaired recently on the outside with tape (not by us!) Picture Book hardback A very large and wild looking Peter stares directly at the viewer from under the fence. This artist here made an attempt to copy, rather than simplify, the story and also seemed to be familiar with rabbits. The effect is of colored line drawings, and quite pleasing. CONDITION: Very Good in Very Good jacket; no names or other marks, boards and pages clean and flat; ends of coiled spine compressed with half inch tears at top and one inch paper crack at bottom; clean, very bright jacket has two half inch tears and no loss of paper; moveables fine, tabs wrinkled; unclipped $1.00. Novelty moveable. A long way from Beatrix Potter, but lots of fun. Each animation has interesting details and both the moveables and the illustrations in text are original artwork.
