Internally, a quite clean copy with only some light foxing to a few pages. There is a previous owner's name on the front pastedown. The hinges a bit shaky but the binding is sound. The boards show shelf-wear to extremities and the spine is faded.

Blue cloth, titles stamped in gilt on the spine, bind stamped border on the cover: spine a tad faded, edges lightly foxed, occasional foxing and spots to leaves which are otherwise crisp and bright. In the illustrated dust jacket printed black on tan with price 7/6 intact on the front flap: spine faded; old archival tissue repairs to head and tail of spine. "A study of an Edwardian woman's reactions to love" from the author best known for her Provincial Lady series. Dust jacket, with a good illustration in a block print style, is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
