Bookplate of The Daltry Library, the private library insignia of Thomas William Daltry (1832-1904) clergyman and amateur naturalist, and bookplate of Alexander Morison McAldowie (1852-1926), Scottish physician, folklorist, and ornithologist. Contents fine. Original green cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine in fine condition, just ever so lightly rubbed on tips. A very pleasing copy indeed. The "Dee" is a natural division of Scotland comprising the greater part of the counties of Aberdeen and Kincardine. It is bounded by the Moray Firth in the north and west, and by the river Tay to the south. Includes chapters on Mammalia, Birds, Reptilia, Fishes.
