Demi-toile à coins de l'époque, pièce de titre de chagrin noir et fleuron doré au dos, plats de couverture conservés, exemplaire non rogné. Dos et couvertures un peu salis ; faux-titre et table jaunis. Ex-libris gravé illustré par une vue de Notre-Dame, portant les initiales DD et la devise "Bien ou pas". Cachet humide au faux-titre, avec les chiffres AM et la devise "Pour les lettres" Edition originale, peu commune, et non mise dans le commerce suite à la mort de l'auteur. Elle est illustrée d'un portrait de l'auteur gravé à l'eau-forte par Dujarric. Les seize premières pièces sont entièrement consacrées au vin. On notera en particulier le poème intitulé "Je crois au vin", véritable crédo du buveur écrit en 1854. D'après Pierre Larousse, Desnoyers "appartenait à ce petit clan qui mit jusqu'au bout en action la vie de bohème de Murger". Exemplaire sur vergé, après quelques rares sur papier fort de Hollande. Tirage hors commerce, en raison de la mort de l'auteur.Les productions de Fernand Desnoyers (1828-1869), membre de la coterie de Murger (Henri Murger, l'écrivain "buveur d'eau" du XIXe) signent leur rareté par leur confidentialité éditoriale. Une de ses caractéristiques notables de ce littérateur et poète parisien était l'amour du vin, qu'il ne célébra pas seulement dans ses beaux ver(-re)s complices, mais aussi par une consommation à plus soif.Vicaire III, 226.
