Boards have rubs, bumped/rubbed through corners - cardboard is showing, small nicks along spine edges, chips along edges, stains and scuffs. Ink name on top of first page and gift inscription on back of first page. General format inside is text on left side and drawing on right. Pages have some handling creases and finger smudges in margins. Otherwise text is clean and binding is tight.

Delightful story about a Scottish boy who couldn't decide whether to be a Highlander or Lowlander but wound up being welcomed by both, by virtue of playing the biggest bagpipes in all of Scotland. Tan cloth, pictorial endpapers, unpaginated (about sixty pages), printed dustjacket. Some light external wear and a bit of soil, good hinges, pages mainly quite clean with bit of light fingerprinting to the margins, no names or other markings, no chips or tears. The mylar protected dustjacket has numerous chips and tears, with the largest one at the front, about five to ten percent paper loss overall. . Fifth Printing. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Yellow cloth boards have plaid paper attached to front and back w/ center white rectangle and black and white drawing inside, dust jacket has the same plaid and rectangle with an illustration. Unmarked with the exception of a marking on the top right corner of the front endpaper. The newspaper clipping was attatched with a pin, it has also turned both pages it was placed in between brown/yellow. Pages are slightly yellowed with foxing on edges. Jacket has many tears and pieces missing, tape repairs made to jacket.
