First ed., 9th printing; 281 p., clean and unmarked, mildly age-toned with some foxing; front paste-downs show facsimile of the author's German passport & the back paste-show a facsimile of her Russian Red Cross certificate; many interesting b&w period photos; binding firm; in absence of d.j. ochre-colored boards with dark red lettering are slightly soiled, with traces of ink, but spine has not faded and minimal bumping and rubbing.
