This collection of stories was originally published under the title "How the Rabbit Fooled the Whale and the Elephant and Other Stories." The rabbit story, by Ludwig Bemelmans, was originally published as "Rosebud" in 1942 by Random House. The other two stories in this collection are from Scott, Foresman and Company's "More Friends and Neighbors" by William S. Gray and May Hill Arbuthnot, copyright 1941. With black-and-white and color illustrations throughout.
