A label with a quote from Charles Kingsley has been mounted to the front pastedown, and there is a previous owner's name on the front free endsheet. The text block is cracked a couple of times. Signed by Heber J. Grant on a typed note (with Grant's letterhead), mounted to the front free endsheet. Heber J. Grant was the seventh President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
