Edgar Peters Bowron is Audrey Jones Bech Curator of European Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Andrew Butterfield is president of Andrew Butterfield Fine Arts, a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books, and the author of numerous books on Italian Renaissance art. Michael Clarke is director of the National Galleries of Scotland.
