Thank you for your interest in Who's That Man with Mr. Lincoln, Mommy?  Without the creative contributions of 24 award-winning cartoonists, this book would be a rant, not a work of art. As it is, I have never worked so intensely on a book before, and a lot of that was due to trying to wrangle 24 award-winning cartoonists.
 
The courage and tenacity of these gifted artists, agreeing to lend their brilliance and incisiveness to the cause of truth has been both rewarding and motivating. The project began as my own need to respond to, to push back against, the daily degradation and division this administration has perpetrated on America, and I hope with their help, we have done something worthwhile.
 
The book's structure and content were built around the notion that nothing communicates as quickly nor as persuasively as an image that compels, that defines a message in one drawing--often with no need for words. With the decline of print journalism, the editorial cartoon has declined, and that is a pity. So I hope that you will pass this book along, in fact or in conversation, and echo my respect and admiration for these fine cartoonists and the important work they do.
 
Enjoy the book, and take both heart and motivation from its messages. And the most important one - you can't take a day off from democracy.
