Reliure de l'époque de plein veau marbré havane, double filet doré encadrant les plats, dos à nerfs orné de filets gras à froid, doubles caissons d'encadrement dorés fleurons dorés, tranches mouchetées. Rare impression anversoise. Elle s'ouvre sur un joli titre-frontispice gravé. Première partie seule (sur 3) ; cependant complète en tant que telle. Petit défaut affectant chacune des coiffes. Reliure légèrement desquamée. Rares rousseurs dans le texte. Cerne claire aux premiers et derniers feuillets. Du reste, belle condition.

Bound, contemporary parchment binding (overlapping boards, ties removed), title in contemporary ink on spine, [24]+430pp., 8x13.5cm., engraved frontispice and 3 full-page engravings, in good antiquarian condition (binding with traces of use, slightly soiled). Three dated names of previous owners written in ink on first page and titelpage: 1630, 1636 (Augustinus van Dijck) and 1749.

Correcto ejemplar completo, con el papel con mácula, aunque láminas muy bien. Encuadernación en pergamino. =Jeremías Drexelio (Augsburgo,1581- Múnich,1638) escritor y jesuita alemán. Criado en una familia luterana se convirtió al catolicismo y más tarde se hizo jesuita. Fue profesor de literatura, de humanidades y de retórica, y también predicador, don que le supuso una gran fama. Size: 24 x 20 cm. 1 Blatt - Gestochene Titelseite - 1 Tafel mit Text auf der Rückseite - 53 Blätter - 1 Tafel - 1.362 S. - 22 Blätter - und - 45 sehr kuriose Tafeln (19 davon bilden das Alphabet). Korrekte vollständige Kopie, mit fleckigem Papier, aber sehr gute Platten. Pergamenteinband =Jeremiah Drexelius (Augsburg,1581 - München,1638) Deutscher Schriftsteller und Jesuit. In einer lutherischen Familie aufgewachsen, konvertierte er zum Katholizismus und wurde später Jesuit. Er war Professor für Literatur, Geisteswissenschaften und Rhetorik sowie Prediger, eine Gabe, die ihm großen Ruhm einbrachte.

Damit vermutlich aus dem Besitz der Ritter, Freiherren und Grafen von Gudenus aus Spangenberg in Hessen; urkundlich erstmals erwähnt um 1594 mit Christoffel Gude(uns). Einband mit 6 unscheinbaren Wurmspuren an den Kanten sowie kleinen Frassspuren auf den unbedruckten letzten zwei Blatt sowie am Innendeckel, insgesamt jedoch sehr gutes, authentisches Exemplar mit wunderschöner Patina und interessanter Provenienz. - Äusserst selten! --- 100 x 52 x 48 mm, vellum binding with gold cover vignettes and branded ornaments, relief gilt edges, with (defective) clasp cords; (14), engraved title, 716 pages, collophonium with engraved vignette. 5 coppers, engraved by Philipp Sadeler. Binding with 6 inconspicuous worm marks on the edges as well as small traces of fraying on the unprinted last two leaves and on the inside cover, but overall a very good, authentic copy with beautiful patina and interesting provenance. - Extremely rare!.
