First edition (hardback). 8vo (22cm by 15cm), viii, 287pp. Plates, folding map. Original green cloth, dustwrapper. This book was formerly in a reference library: a bookplate has been removed from the front free endpaper, and there are tape stains to the front and rear pastedowns; overall, the book is in good to very good condition. The dustwrapper is in good to very good condition (light chafing of the edges, neat shelfmark to the spine panel). The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.
