Second, Revised and Supplemented Edition]. A historical work on WWI was written by a German general and politician Erich Friedrich Wilhelm Ludendorff (1865 - 1937).

Gilt lettering to spines. Boards have spotting, particularly to lower boards. Spine cloth is sunned and due to this differ in appearance. Rubbing to edges of boards with some bumping of corners. Endpapers are toned. Front free endpaper of Vol.I has been neatly removed. Maps are in a good state other than a 2.5cm closed tear to the first map of the first volume. Possibly mixed volumes, Vol.I is certainly second edition, Vol.II isn't identified.

The newspaper was banned by the Nazi regime following issue nr. 29 and no further issues appeared. ["Die neue Zeitung erschien im Mai 1929 erstmals in 'Ludendorff's Volkswarte- Verlag'. Erich Ludendorff, seine Frau Mathilde und andere Autoren kritisierten in der Volkswarte öffentlich die Nationalsozialisten, mit denen sich Ludendorff trotz weitgehend deckungsgleicher weltanschaulicher Ansichten entzweit hatte. Als Illustrationen erschienen dazu Karikaturen von Hans-Gü nther Strick, in denen Adolf Hitler und andere Mitglieder der Partei verä chtlich gemacht wurden. Beispiele für Titelthemen sind: Nationalsozialisten als Würger (zur Reichpräsidentenwahl 1932), Das Irrlicht Hitler oder Vor einem neuen Weltkrieg.
