Hardcover. Etat : VG+. Etat de la jaquette : VG. Photos, Sketches (illustrateur). 1st. Described as "A History in Two Parts" this fine publication records 100 years of hunting with the Pakuranga Hounds, up to 1972. It is also a social history of the development of NZ's largest city, Auckland, being the first hunt established in the country, following another British tradition. In the first section Eisdell Moore provides "The Story of the Run" while Captain Bingley's contribution is "Facts, Figures and Fancies." The 26 chapters cover every aspect of the hunt, including the challenges it faced as rapid urbanisation restricted its "hunting country." 213 pages including membership list, index, colour frontis, 108 b/w photos, few chapter end sketches. Dark green hard covers with gilt front decoration/spine titles, VG +, text block excellent, no inscriptions. Colour pictorial DJ VG.
