The story follows the adventures of Phra, a Phoenician who is granted immortality by the gods. Phra travels through time and space, witnessing the rise and fall of civilizations, and encountering a variety of characters along the way. He meets the beautiful and powerful Queen Nitocris of Egypt, the philosopher Pythagoras, and the legendary Alexander the Great. Phra also witnesses the destruction of Atlantis and the fall of Rome. Throughout his travels, Phra struggles with the burden of immortality and the knowledge that he will outlive everyone he meets.
