Previous owner's inscription to front paste-down. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Sunning to spine. Gilt lettering is darkened. Split to spine heads and tail.

Heavier to endpapers & paste downs. Text is clear. Thumb-marking present. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Black lettering is bright and clear to front board & spine.
