Hardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Fine. 1st Edition. First edition. Octavo, pp 333. Bound in red cloth covered hard boards and in the original dust jacket, un-clipped (£20.00). The book is SIGNED and has a fabulous full page inscription and drawing to the half title by Steadman in bold red ink: "Married 30 Years on 8.Dec.02 | For Dear Bernard. Our Best Man! Lots of Love Ralph Steadman 6.12.02" and enhanced with a drawing of the author and his wife, Anna Devonshire. On the facing page is a rather cryptic reference "This is No. 104". The recipient of this book was Bernard Stone, poet, publisher and bookseller and long time friend and collaborator of Steadman (and as we learn here Steadman's Best Man at his 1972 wedding). Stone and his bookshop on Kensington Church Street make an extended appearance in this book (see pages 4-9). The book paper has browned, otherwise book and jacket are in excellent condition, graded NF/F. Inscribed by Author(s).
