Valentin Louis Georges Eugène Marcel Proust (10 July 1871 – 18 November 1922) was a French novelist. Charles Kenneth Scott Moncrieff, MC (25 September 1889 – 28 February 1930) was a Scottish writer, most famous for his English translation of most of Proust's À la recherche du temps perdu.
