Beige cardboard wraps secured at top with plastic rings. Some rubbing and edgewear to cover, interior clean and unmarked. This is a facsimile edition of a set of instructions for everything from killing cockroaches to treating illnesses, to measuring the height of a tree or the volume of a cistern. It was compiled by Dr. Haller Nutt (1816-1864), owner of Winter Quarters Plantation in Newellton, La., before the Civil War; Nutt later built the famous Longwood Plantation in Natchez, Miss. A nice copy of a scarce item. We pack carefully, with moisture protection, bubble wrap, and a cardboard "sandwich" to protect every book and ensure it arrives undamaged. Size: 5 x 8".
