Quarto, marbled paper covers with a paper label at the center of the front board towards the top edge, frontispiece portrait of Conrad by Leonard Baskin, 81 pp., facsimile of the original manuscript, with the emblem of the Gehenna Press below the colophon, in board wrap and paper covered slipcase with a paper label on the closed end Colophon reads "1100 copies of this book printed at the Gehenna Press Northhampton, Massachusetts for The Philip H. and A.S.W. Rosenbach Foundation Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Facsimiles were made by the Meriden Gravure Company of Meriden, Connecticut. The text is set in Monotype Van Dijck. The paper is Fabriano. Harold McGrath was the pressman. The woodcut portrait of Joseph Conrad by Leonard Baskin was printed from the block. Copies I to C have an additional impression of the portrait printed on Shizuoka Vellum and are signed by the artist. Copyright 1966. The work finished during the Fall of 1966.
