Probably by Georg Gottfried Wagner. 5) Der 117te Psalm, für vier Singstimmen in Musik gesetzt von Joh. Sebastian Bach. Breitkopf und Härtel, s.d. (1821) PN 3509, engraved title page + 13 pp with engraved music, Boosey's stamp on title page. BWV 230 (First edition). Bound in contemporary half leather, spine seriously damaged, interior fine although some pages a bit foxed or very slightly browned. in-f°, 33 x 26 cm. With a neat handwritten ex-libris ''Alfred Angel''. Alfred Angel was a onetime organist at Exeter cathedral. In 1842 he won the Gresham Prize Medal with the anthem '' Blow the Trumpet in Zion''. The 4th item of this Bach convolute served the composer Angel for the English version '' Blessing , Glory, Widom and Thanks''.
