Remarkably nice condition - clean, bright. Author's signed inscription on ffep to Mr. J. T. Beck. NOTES: 100 copies printed. Author Bio: Prominent Icelandic-Canadian author. Stephan Einarsson, in his History of Icelandic Literature (p. 349) states that the author is 'a master of lyric expression and musical form'. This author immigrated to Winnipeg in 1903. He became the editor of Timarit, the journal of the Canadian Icelandic National League. Subject: Poetry. Considerable content related to North America - examples: poem on p. 64 describes flying over New York, referring to skyscrapers as 'rock trollls'; toast to Canada on p. 143; another poem on Canadian nation on p. 146; toast to North America delivered in Gimli, Canada, on p. 140.
