Ivan Goodbody is Professor Emeritus, Department of Life Sciences, University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. Elizabeth Thomas-Hope is Professor of Environmental Management, Environmental Management Unit, Department of Geography and Geology, University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica.
