A propos de cet article

Viii, 472 pages, illustrations, diagrams, cloth, very good. From Professor Wenger's obituary posted on the website of University of California History: "Gus" Wenger, as he preferred to be called, was born March 12, 1907 in Wheeling, West Virginia. Professor Wenger was a founder of the Society for Psychophysiological Research and one of the few people such as Roland C. Davis and Chester W. Darrow who helped lay the groundwork for a scientific basis for the discipline. He was elected to presidency of the Society in 1963-64 and in 1970 was presented with the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award of the Society. He was the Archivist of the Society for years and at the time of his death was active in writing the history and role of the Society. In 1951-52 he was recipient of a Fulbright Research Award and spent his sabbatical year at the University of Paris. In 1956-57 he joined forces with H. Kumar Bagchi of the University of Michigan on an expedition, supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, to India to study the control of autonomic and central nervous functions of Yogi masters. In 1968-69 he was director of the University of California Abroad Study Program in Hong Kong.". N° de réf. du libraire 21030
