A propos de cet article

The story of the little terrier who was on Amundsen's expedition over the North Pole. Penned by Antonio Quattrini, the Italian journalist who accompanied the journey, along with Umberto Nobile who was Titina's master and the engineer and pilot of the dirigible Norge. Titina joined the expedition because she simply could not stand being separated from her master. Sixteen people and one dog -- led by Amundsen and Lincoln Ellsworth -- crossed the North Pole from Norway to Alaska in the Norge. Upon the triumphant return, the crew -- including Titina -- were feted worldwide. At the White House, when meeting Calvin Coolidge, Titina peed on the carpet. Rarely was anyone so excited to meet President Coolidge. Uncommon item, with no copies on OCLC. Very Good binding. N° de réf. du libraire 263955
