Notable tanning to spine, with scuffing, staining and marking to boards.

A very nice copy in a dust jacket. near fine Carruthers, Premier of New South Wales, writes of Captain Cook's life and infamous death. According to the dust jacket he ". Is anxious to clear away certain untruths and misconceptions which have proved harmful and unjust to the reputation of the great explorer." He also discusses the decline of the Native Hawaiian population post-Cook due to introduced diseases. In a scarce dust jacket.
