B&W frontis illustration, plus B&W photographs. Rubbing and a bit of wear at the corner tips. Spine extremities rubbed, and a chip at the front corner of the spine tail. A bit of wear on the board edges. Some light surface rubbing to the boards, but overall quite clean. The spine gilt is quite bright. The page end-blanks are age-tined, and the marbled edges are somewhat faded. Else the pages are clean. The hinges of this large volume are intact, and quite strong. Hard. Etat : Acceptable. THIS IS AN OVERSIZE BOOK. ADDITIONAL POSTAGE MAY BE REQUIRED. Has 904 pages (7 x 10 x 2-1/2 inches) in a tight binding. A few pages at the front and back show some water damage in the past. The cover is decorated with both a gold and silver design using Masonic symbols. Three sheets picturing George Washington as Master were found placed in the book. Also pasted to the back end pages are two newspaper articles dated October 1934 titled "Masonic Beginnings in Cleveland". The full title of this book is - HISTORY OF THE ANCIENT AND HONORABLE FRATERNITY OF FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS, AND CONCORDANT ORDERS. Some handwritten notes containing reference to Chapters and individuals are on front end pages dated 1907 and 1927.
