Hardcover. Etat : Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Published by Novello, Ewer and Co London and distributed J.C.Wilbee Harrow in 1882, here is the first hardback printing of John Farmer's CINDERELLA: A FAIRY OPERA IN FOUR ACTS written by Henry S. Field and illustrated by Heywood Sumner. Cream cloth binding, red and gilt embossed decoration/ lettering, 41 beautifully illustrated pages in the Pre-Raphaelite style, the book is in fair condition with some general browning/staining/rubbing to the edges and outsides of the boards culminating in a small area of loss at the top of the spine. The binding in poor with the front board and spine having come away from the pages, however, internally the pages are all nicely bound and in good to very good condition. A decent offering.
