Octavo, cloth boards with red and silver metallic decorations, woodcut illustrations, pp 221. Spine lightly sunned (as usually seen), some light scuffiing. Near-fine condition, in like original slipcase. First printed in 1486, and "perhaps the most important and terrible work on demonology ever written" (editor's introduction).

Hardcover. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : No Dust Jacket. Illustrated by Fiona Campbell (Binding Design), B. S. Biro (Title Border) (illustrateur). A FINE copy (looks unused) in a VG + slipcase which is covered in a grey/black marbled paper showing some very slight wear - negligible - but NO splitting, rubbing or marks. Unusually in this copy there is NO FADING TO THE SPINE, which usually turns grey with exposure to light! Black cloth over boards, with stunning, bright, red and silver flame-like decorations to the front and rear covers and bright silver decoration to the spine. Fiona Campbell did the Binding Design & B. S. Biro the title border) . Top page edge is pale blue/grey with some very slight fading to the top edge near the spine, as usual as that is where the light gets in from the way the book is housed in the slipcase. The book is internally FINE with NO Inscriptions or marks. A Wonderful 1st Thus copy of a Scarce Folio Society title. First printing with the title details printed vertically to the spine.
