Dark blue cloth with gilt coloured titles on spine. Plain text dustwrapper, pale pink background with black coloured titles on front panel and spine. In this book, both useful for a beginner and experts, are the detailed descriptions that cover all common species of Victorian shells together with their range and distribution. Corners slightly rubbed and shelf wear is evident on bottom edges of book. Slight loss colour to the top edge of the front panel as well, to a lesser degree to the back panel. Marks on both front and back panel are present. There are dust marks to the top paper edge and there are other marks to the other two edges. Some foxing spots to the ffep., as well previous owners name. Dustwrapper area is faded particularly on spine. Corners are rubbed and there is chipping along the top dustwrapper etches, worse on back panel with two small piece missing. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
