Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Notable crushing to spine ends. Visible sunning to spine and edges. Splits to spine ends. Water staining to boards.

Hard Cover. Etat : Very Good. No date, code CF/21/663. 190 pages, coloured frontispiece by Savile Lumley. Three-line Christmas greeting (dated 1938) on the front flyleaf. Prelims, endpages and edges lighlty foxed. Decorative red cloth boards with a battleship on the front board and an officer on the spine. The boards are very lightly flecked with three spots on the spine. An attractive copy. Size: 8vo.

Card cover (hardcover). Etat : Good. First Edition. No printing date on the book but probably mid 1930s. Believed to be a first edition but bibliographic information about McKeag's work is hard to come by. Contains the novel The Man from the Gallows and a short story Criminal Gratitude. The boards have damage to the outer edges of the front and rear panels where the surface has been worn off with the card exposed in a few places. A little wear around the top and bottom of the spine also. Spotting to the insides of the covers. Pages browned but otherwise unmarked. No jacket.

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Colour frontispiece. Very light foxing to endpapers. All else very clean and firm inside. Firm red cloth boards with black decoration and titles. A little minor edge wear to boards. The dustjacket has a 3cm loss to top of spine area and some small closed tears and creases to edges.

Overall a well preserved copy.A Scarce copy! Usual toning and shelf wear should be expected.
