Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Fair. 2nd Edition. Shark - O! By P. FitzGerald O'connor. Hardcover, very good condition, minor marks, and shelf wear, dust jacket scuffed, chipped, and closed tears to edges. Publisher: Secker & Warburg, London, 1953, 2nd impression The author writes about fishing for Basking Sharks in the Atlantic. The only book on the subject I have seen so far. surprisingly the insight by the author of the biology and behavior of this shark was highly enlightened for the time the book was written (1950's). I was surprised that even then, fisherman were beginning to see that the oceans were being 'fished out', a truly relevant issue today. An interesting book for anyone interested in sharks and their history.
