LIMITED to 50 copies SIGNED by GEORGE RAINBIRD and RONALD SEARLE, the limitation is handwritten in ink on the half-title with the ink signatures below. 8vo, approximately 220 x 130 mm, 8½ x 5¼ inches, pages: 1-206, illustrated title page plus 15 illustrations and 2 maps, original publisher's purple cloth with gilt lettering and 2 small black floral designs to spine, in dustwrapper. Binding very slightly bumped at head of spine, a touch of fading at head of spine, small pale stain to outer margin of page 178, tiny closed tear neatly repaired to outer margin of page 12, hardly noticeable, bookseller's small ticket to last pastedown.
