Spine is darkened and has a small area missing and chipping at extremities.

I Had Only Heard Of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy Due To My Child Welfare Days, But It Turns Out There Really Was A Baron Munchausen Who Told Impossible Stories About Himself And Was The Subject Of Rudolf Raspe's Book. A British Doctor Borrowed The Name To Describe The Original Syndrome In 1951. Meanwhile, John Carswell Revived And Edited The First English Version. The Illustrations By Ronald Searle Are "Absurdly And Convincingly Real" (Times Literary Supplement). This Copy, A First Thus Edition, May Well Be Unread, But It Does Have Some Flaws, Including Some Light Creasing And Both A Price Tag Pull And A Pinhead Size Hole To The Front Cover. This Moderately Thick Quarto Will Probably Incur Shipping Charges Close To Twenty Dollars Canadian.
