Etat : Good. 11 sample seed packets from the Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens in Cape Town. Seeds are: 22 - Aloe Humilis; 146B Conophytum Spp. Mixed (a tough, low growing succulent found in the Cape Province); 230 Echinus Geminatus (A shrubby mesem easily propagated from stem cuttings, but not a very quick grower. Flowers sparing produced on mature plants are quite attractive and pale pink); 298 Fenestraria Aurantiaca (an evergreen mat forming geophyte, mainly subterranean with just the tips of the leaves appearing above the soil; the var. aurantiaca distinguish for the flowers that are bright golden yellow coloured (never white)); 315 Gibbaeum Cryptopodium (A dwarf succulent with globular leaves occurring in attached pairs. It forms clumps with erect, decumbent and prostrate branches and pink flowers which appear in winter). 316 Gibbaeum Dispar (a tiny plant up to 20 mm high. In cultivation or in favourable sites in the wild, plants may grow into clumps that are 120 mm wide. Each plant consists of short, woody stems with two unequal leaves at their ends. Leaves are velvety to the touch as they have minute hairs covering them. Flowers are solitary and an intense pink. Vulnerable, as it is restricted to a small area of the Little Karoo near Vanwyksdorp as it is potentially threatened by crop cultivation, mining, roadworks, harvesting for the specialist succulent horticulture trade, and livestock grazing and trampling; 320 Gibbaeum Petrense (a perennial, mat forming succulent up to 2 inches (5 cm) and spreads into large grey-green carpets - every year a few new leaves grow from the central stem, the daisy-like flowers are pink to reddish-violet, up to up to 0.8 inch (2 cm) in diameter and appear in spring); 348A Haworthia Helmae ( they generally resemble miniature aloes, except in their flowers, which are distinctive in appearance - in this case white); 457 Lithops Marmorata (a succulent pebble plant, a perennial that grows in a clumping formation. Its leaves are enormously bulbous and are usually a grey to light green color, with a marbled pattern on the top. The flower is much like a daisy, and sprouts from between each pair of leaves); 460 Lithops Otzeniana (a very peculiar species easily distinguished for its translucent greenish-olive top with lighter raised, scalloped islands around the edges); 652A Tischleria Peersii (a small, rather compact tufted plants up to 100 mm in diameter with thick and fleshy leaves, resembling those of the almost toothless "tiger jaws" (Faucaria). The packets are sealed as at source and enclosing. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
