Poultney. Binding remains firm. Crinkling to pages at gutters. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. There is bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has light edge wear with minor tears and chipping. Mild rubbing and marking. Tanning to spine and edges.

Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Unclipped jacket has light edge wear with minor tears and chipping. Mild rubbing and marking.

Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. A single folded sheet prospectus, with order form inserted. Heavy, cream colored stock, printed in black and brown. The cover has a lovely vignette of pansies printed in brown. The inside has 2 'specimen pages' with woodblock prints. The back described the book to be published, a limited edition of 150 copies and with a short biography of the artist. Order form printed in black, with green emblem of the printing house. The whole thing in fine condition (no flaws, creases, blemishes - this is the highest condition ranking that I use).

Printed in black and blue ink at the Penmiel Press by Edward Burrett, 'out of admiration and sympathy for the unknown author.' Embossed laurel wreath at the top. An extremely limited run on 100 copies. Very good condition on fine laid paper. Measures 11.75 x 8.25. Printed December 1987. Poem begins, "We met and married a long time ago / worked for long hours when wages were low / no TV, no wireless, no bath, times were hard / just a cold tap and a walk up the yard.".

Printed in hand made paper at the Penmiel Press. First page is an offset lithograph portrait of Lincoln, originally published in 1864. Large wood engraving by Diana Bloomfield and a quote from Lincoln occupy pages 2-3. Printed in black and red. Page 4 is the colophon, explaining that this was printed at the Penmiel Press by Edward Burrett in an edition of 50 copies. This is copy number 27. Printed December, 1987. Very good condition. Measures 10.74 x 14 inches.
