Livre
Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice older book in good condition. Pages in good condition. No notes or highlighting. See images. Fantastic book. About the book >.>.> I knew, with certainty, that it would find its way into my boots. It always did. I looked down at the polished toe-caps flashing in front of me with every step and at the tightly laced leather which reached half- way up my calves. The Ash Path. it had defeated all the footwear I had ever possessed. There it was, that first, small, splintery sharp irritation. Minute pieces of volcanic-like ash finding their way into my grey woollen socks. I cursed under my breath as I thought of the time I would have to spend, carefully searching out every gritty particle from the thickened, felted wool. These were the third set of feet Mam had knit onto the original tops, and I felt glad that no-one could see the join of the different coloured wools. The Ash Path led me past Railway Terrace and the Company Houses, cach house with its scrubbed steps leading up to the Front Door (which no-one ever used except strangers who knew no better). Each door no more than a few feet from its neighbour, but between each, a heavily lac.
