Brown thin card cover with pasted down Colour Illustration on front, with dark grey lettering above & below. 12 1/4" Tall. Some edge wear to cover and a little chipping to illustration. Pages and Plates in very good, clean condition. A little foxing to text pages. Book weighs just over 1 Kilo packed so Shipping outside UK will be a little extra. Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.

In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. With a colour frontispiece, forty-five pages of unmounted plates, and forty mounted plates. Collated complete. A beautiful collection of plates from numerous Belgian artists. Written and compiled by the League of Belgian Artists, which consisted at the time of Belgian refugees in London. Artists include Jean Delville, Emile Claus, Alfred Bastian, Charles Mertens and more. Written in both French and English. Originally produced as a charity work to raise money for the benefit of The Belgian Red Cross, Convalescent Home for Belgian Soldiers and British Gifts for Belgian Soldiers. The half title page is present. With eight pages of advertisements to the rear of the volume. In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the edges. Marks to the boards. Discoloration to the edges. Hinges are strained. The odd mark to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age-toned but otherwise very bright and clean. The odd spot and mark throughout. Very Good. book.
