Livre Edition originale
Hardcover. Etat : Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. 1st Edition. Eward VI, succeeded his father Henry VIII at the age of nine and died three months before his sixteenth birthday. Historians have thought of him as a pathetic but not attractive figure, a sickly prig. The author takes a different view, she sees him as a lively , intelligent boy. Certainly the ' boy king' has never been so sympathetically and vividly presented as in this detailed portrait of him. The blue boards are lightly faded and there is an EX Libris label on the front paste -down the text block is lightly discoloured. The DJ is worn on its edges and down the spine it is also marked in several places on the back panel and it is priced clipped.
