A larger format portrait with elaborate pictorial border. Fine hand colouring.Overall sizeapprox 23cm x 38.5cm.Once mounted and framed will look magnificent.Paul de Rapin (1661-1725)sieurof Thoyras (and therefore styled Thoyras de Rapin), was aFrenchhistorianwriting under English patronage. We are always interested in buying all of the above and especially entire collections, original archives, libraries, periodicals (especially runs of the Illustrated London News, The Graphic, Sporting and Dramatic News, Harpers Illustrated, individual better maps and prints. We are especially interested in purchasing original archives of documents, correspondences & letters from estates, solicitors, libraries and similar sources.
