Nanette Newman's acting career made her a household name. On becoming a grandmother she turned her attention to writing for children and now lives in Surrey with her husband, Bryan Forbes. Jonathan Langley was born in Lancaster in 1952. He studied graphic design and illustration at Liverpool College of Art and the Central School of Art and Design. In 1974 he became a freelance illustrator. He lives in the lake district with his wife, Karen, and their three children.
