Lis Jardine has been a lifelong reading addict and is rarely spotted in the wild without a book, usually a Golden Age murder mystery or a comic fantasy. She currently lives in Cheshire with her husband and nearly-grown daughters, where she combines the two best jobs in the world: secondary school librarian and children’s novelist. Lis studied English Literature at the University of Warwick and completed the MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University. In her spare time, Lis likes to watch TV, learn Norwegian (1800 day Duo streak!) and invent unlikely vegan sandwich recipes.

Alexandra Pulga is a children's book illustrator with a love for the magical and whimsical! She lives in her small beachside city of Tacloban in the Philippines where she fills her tiny world with people she love, books, art, music, spontaneous adventures and more hobbies that she could ever count on both hands. As a wide-eyed dreamer, and with observant eyes and intuitive nature, she creates vivid children's book worlds in which every child becomes a hero.
