SHELDON H. CHERRY, M.D., named by New York magazine as one of "The Best Doctors in New York" in 1991, is a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and Clinical Professor of OB/GYN at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. A pioneering researcher in perinatology, he is widely recognized as one of the leading experts in the field. His previous books include The Menopause Myth, For Women of All Ages, and Planning Ahead for Pregnancy, and his column, "Pregnancy and Childbirth," appears regularly in Parents Magazine.
