The 6 by 9 inch hardcover book is 318 pages and in good condition. The dust jacket is tucked inside but has some creases and a tear. The brown cloth boards are faded at the spine but there are no markings to the pages inside. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the front free end page, dated 1976. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history.
