Alan Durant is the author of more than forty books for children of all ages. He has written picture books, teenage thrillers, and poetry. He wrote the bestselling picture books Dear Tooth Fairy and Dear Father Christmas, both illustrated by Vanessa Cabban. Alan lives with his wife and three children in New Malden, Surrey, England.

Jo Simpson grew up in Yorkshire, England, and studied illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Scotland. While still a student, she began making animated films, and this led to her first job: designing and directing a major UK road-safety campaign for an animation agency. A Dinosaur Called Tiny is Jo's first picture book. She lives in London with her husband and daughter.
