Description du livre Hardcover. Etat : New. First Printing of the First Edition. New York: McGraw-Hill, 1997. Brand New in PERFECT condition. Laid-in is a full page TLS (Typed Letter Signed) by co-author James Smith on Cambridge Management Sciences letterhead. The letter is addressed to Mr. Lawrence Bossidy, CEO of Allied Signal Corp. and challenges an article by Bossidy published in USA TODAY to the effect that "quality is no longer an issue." Smith points out that for 15 years Cambridge Management Sciences worked with "quite a few" Allied Signal plants. At several other Allied Signal plants, Smith notes that initial site audits showed quality costs were too high and reliability too low and plant management nevertheless "threw us out." Smith continues: "We take no pleasure in the knowledge that those plants generally ended up shuttered or sold." It is apparent that the CEO of Allied Signal Corp. was not convinced, as the book remains in Brand New condition, obviously never read. Also laid-in are two pieces of ephemera from the publisher related to the book and its authors. 1997. First printing of the First Edition with complete number row (1234567890) on the copyright page. Bound in the original white laminated boards. Sharp corners. Square and tight. Hinges are perfect. NO owner's name or bookplate. Pages are bright white, fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked - obviously never read. From the publisher: "In a radical departure from the dozens of other quality books, this one makes the case that the traditional TQM procedures used in the electronics assembly field are not only ineffective -- they contribute to many failures. The only book to focus exclusively on quality in electronics manufacturing--and to propose a measurable cost/benefit methodology -- this provocative volume shows what's lacking in current quality programs, and how fresh approaches can yet avoid a quality 'catastrophe'' in the electronics industry. Along the way, numerous quality myths are exploded, hidden issues are confronted, and an array of electronics specific solutions are offered.". First Printing of the First Edition. Hardcover. New/No dust jacket, as issued. 8vo. xxvi, 502pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping. N° de réf. du vendeur 027968
