Synopsis
This volume provides the author's book "Classical and Object-Oriented Software Engineering", 3rd Edition) with the new programming language Java. As Java is used to program on the World Wide Web, it will be of increasing importance in software engineering in the near future. While the text stresses the essentials of software engineering, including in-depth coverage of the Capability Maturity Model, CASE and metrics, it does so using the langauge Java instead of C++.
