Integrating knowledge from the core pharmacy basic disciplines, this competency based review guide presents over 100 intriguing case studies. Each study is followed by ten to 15 questions designed to effectively prepare students for the pharmacy board exam. Five of the questions are clinically oriented and focus on the 200 most commonly used drugs. An additional five to ten questions test knowledge of biochemistry, pharmacology, therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, legal and regulatory issues. Appendixes list the 200 most commonly used drugs with normal values and other supporting material.

Dr. Randy Vogenberg is Director and National Practice Leader at ASA Health System Education and Pharmaceutical Consulting, an AON Consulting Company, in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He holds an academic appointment with the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy as Deans' Professor of Pharmacy Management. He is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Leadership Board.

Douglas Pisano, PhD, R.Ph., is Professor and Dean at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences, Worcester, Massachusetts.
