Synopsis

This is the first of two new titles geared for the advanced exams taken by radiologic technologists. The books have been written in response to the new ARRT requirement for proof of competency in specific modalities prior to taking advanced level exams. In order to achieve competency in a specific modality one must demonstrate, complete, and document performance of the specified competencies. The book lists the particular competency, demonstrates how to perform the exercise, and provides a documentation page for verification purposes. The book serves as a tool that RTs can carry from test to test and from site to site which not only reviews the upcoming test, but also serves as an official recorder for documentation. Sample checklists supplied by the ARRT have been incorporated into the book. The user can simply mail in the form from the book to the ARRT when applying for the exam.
